Example
Let's say your name is Sophie Smith and:
- You're currently with Virgin Media in the UK, and you use the email address sophie.smith@virginmedia.com.
- You used to use a different address, and it was a real bind having to tell everyone and make sure you didn't lose any important emails when you changed.
- You're interested in maybe using a different email system, for example Google Mail (GMail), and also you might be moving to an area not served by Virgin Media cable - what should you do?
Someone tells you about Dandini.com and you take a look. You like the idea of being sophie@superavenger.com - you check and it's still available.
You do the following:
- Register at Dandini.com.
- Browse the domain names available.
- Buy the address sophie@superavenger.com - it's yours to keep, at no further cost.
- Setup the first forwarding address to sophie.smith@virginmedia.com- it's easy!
- Setup up to two more forwarding addresses if you wish, for example a work address.
- Continue to use your current email program or WebMail site - you will now get emails sent to either sophie.smith@virginmedia.com or sophie@superavenger.com.
- In your current email program or WebMail site, change your 'Reply' address to sophie@superavenger.com, so that people can just 'reply' to your new address.
- On your stationery etc., list just sophie@superavenger.com as your email address.
If/when you change your internet provider and/or get a new email address, just change your forwarding address(es) by logging in at Dandini.com - you can do this as many times as you want and at no additional cost.
